It was a nice day to work in the garden!

Forest Class began preparing our garden plot to plant lettuce and popcorn! The kids learned that wire-grass is an evil plant and they were very dedicated in their efforts to eliminate its presence from the garden beds. We look forward to enjoying a nice salad bar later this spring. The popcorn will be ready next Fall. We are also planting a sour cherry tree.

Spreading the dirt to prepare for planting.

We found lots of grubs!

Discovering tiny creatures in the garden.

Oh, the wire grass! We will find you.
